Dear Mrs Ritchie,
I am writing to express my opinion about why year 4’s should also go to camp.
You may believe year 4 students are too young to go to camp. However I
disagree because camp offers us the opportunity to develop important life
skills essential at any age. For example an activity such as kayaking is good
for water safety.

Similarly raft building teaches us the need for teamwork and leadership, also if
you don’t know how to tie knots raft building can help you learn how to tie
knots.

Camping can help you to become more self reliant, there are multiple things
you must do on your own like doing the dishes, looking after your own
belongings and even following instructions.

Learning archery can also help you in sports, it’s helpful for your dodge ball
throwing and other ball throwing games. Once you learn how to aim at a target
in archery, your ball throwing will also get better since it’s the same.

I hope you change your mind and allow year 4 students to go to camp, I’m
really looking forward to hearing from you.
