Habitat Poem

WALT - Write a poem about animal habitats/homes

From being kept in a farm,
Or roaming outside.
Some animals even
Live in the Southside!

In the depth of an ocean,
Or on a top of a mountain.
Birds might even drink
a fountain!

Hiding in a tree,
Or just it's trunk.
Elephants don’t belong in the ocean,
Or they’ll have sunk.

In a forest or a jungle,
With trees all around.
Birds in the trees,
Making a squawking sound.

In dry deserts,
Where camels walk.
Up in the sky,
Swooped down a hawk.

The Present - Describing the boy

The Present - Describing the boy

WALT: Use a text structure appropriate to the purpose

In a dull, dim room, sat a boy playing video games, his eyes were glued to the
screen of the TV. He had pallid peach skin which stood out in the dark shades of
the living room with a puff of blush splattered on his face. Slightly, you could see
a teeny pack of light brown freckles all over his face. His glossy bronze eyes shone
in the dark as he stared into the TV. His zipped up jacket was the colour of lapis
blue. His dark chestnut hair was short and messy due to never leaving the living
room to comb it.

He lacked sympathy to everybody but video games. The boy was ignorant because
of his negative attitude. His face was stern caused by glancing at the TV screen
for a while. The curtains opened letting the luminous sunlight walk into the room.
The daylight filled the room as he squinted. Obsessed with video games, the boy
was impolite to anyone who tried to get him off the TV. He was attracted to the TV
because of his severe depression.
