States of Matter

States of Matter

I’m going to tell you about the three statements: solid, liquid and gas. These are the three
statements I’m going to explain to you about, we also can call them “matter”.You can find
matter anywhere and
everywhere.

Solid

Solids are hard and you can’t your hand through it like liquids. How do you change a liquid
to a solid? Good question, you can make liquid to a solid by cooling the liquid down until the
liquid becomes a solid. For example, a rock, a pencil, a tree and a book they are all solid
objects. The solid object will not move unless you move it with your hand because the
molecules are together and not spread out. Solids have their own shape because the shape
stays there forever and ever so it’s their own shape.

Liquid

Liquids are a little bit similar to solids because the molecules are spread out so it can move on
its own, not like Solids molecules are close together that the Solids can’t even move. Like I
said before, you can’t put your hand through Solid and only liquid. Liquids don’t really have
their own shape since the liquids move and doesn’t stay in one shape. If a liquid is in a shaped
container that is the liquids shape, and if you move the container upside down it’s still the liquids
shape.

Gas

Gas is also similar to liquids because I said if liquids are in a shaped container its their shape,
gas is everywhere so for example: your house is a shaped container for the gases. If you blow
a string dangling a delicate object you can see the gas move even if it’s invisible. Your blowing
into a balloon, what your in the balloon is gas from your breath. You can also make liquid into
a gas by heating the liquid up. Carbon Dioxide is another form of gas it’s the same but Carbon
Dioxide it’s just a bit different.

So now you know about the three states of matter and how the molecules work in solid and
liquid like the molecules in liquid are spread out so it could move on its own, the molecules in
solids are different their connected so the solid object won’t move unless you move it. The gas
is similar to liquid because gas and liquid doesn’t have their own shape but if it’s in a shaped
container that's their shape.

  1. I like how you put the three stats matter in paragraph.
